OMI-F4 and OMI-F3 practice bombs are intended for use with Mirage, Jaguar and Alphajet aircraft. They simulate, by variation of mass and drag, the ballistics of low or high drag bombs. They are constructed from special material which ensures no ricochet upon impact. They are aerodynamically stable and can be released at speeds up to 600 KTAS. They can be carried with any suspension system, 14 inch NATO or 250 mm Warsaw Pact. They are fitted with various types of impact marker including NATO marker. OMI-F4 simulates 250 kg low drag bomb, has a mass of 16 kg and is 900 mm long. OMI-F3 simulates 250 kg high drag bomb, has a mass of 4 kg and is 740 mm long. Diameter is 99 mm for both types.
