Incendiary Bomb or “Fire Bomb”: It is similar to aerial bombs designated BLU-1/B and M-116A2, in 500 and 1000 lbs class. These bombs are of Incendiary type and are suitable for operation on high speed flights with low level release, up to 100 ft (30 meters). They are equipped with an axisymetric aerodynamic profile and are constructed fully in Aluminium. Typical configuration is without stabilizing fins, but all weapons can be equipped with fins if customer requires. The finless version (absence of stabilizer) enables in-flight PITCH rotation (perpendicular to symmetry axis), thus inducing turbulence to the incendiary mixture (gel) for maximum effect at explosion with a remarkable increase of affected area. Non-removable caps protect the fuze lodgings in both ends.
