NEFOS 76-10 Smoke Screen Protection System 76 mm
NEFOS 76-10 smoke screen protection system has been designed for installation on all types of Main Battle Tanks (MBTs), Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) and Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs). With minor modifications it can be used also with other vehicles and also naval crafts and other applications.
It uses the standard NATO 76 mm smoke cartridge of all known types: SMOKE RP, SMOKE HC, SMOKE IR SCREENING. It can also fire other loads such as chaff, flares and anti-personnel grenades.
The system in its standard configuration 76-10 uses ten (10) launch tubes in two
groups of five (5). It can be supplied in customised version as 76-8 with eight (8)
tubes in two groups of four (4). Other configurations are available upon request.
The system is totally water proof. All parts are interchangeable. Material of manufacture
is high quality steel which ensures endurance and protection from small calibre infantry
weapons. Firing is by means of electric circuitry and Coverage selection. Each launch
tube features adjustable azimuth.
